J. JS LEE A/W15

It's that exciting time of year again when London Fashion Week takes place. Despite today's horribly cold weather, (obviously ignored by a few girls, sporting shorts and skirts in 3 degree weather), it was rather pleasant. Lovely seeing the same faces and friends from seasons before, and meeting new ones each day. My day began with J. JS Lee, a young Korean designer who showcased at Somerset House early in the morning. The collection is really embedded through her personal memories; inspired by her tomboy childhood years of different, playful yet delicately feminine. The models showed this through their boyish, short and unkempt hair.

The collection featured stitched garments, oversized sport inspired pieces with an elastic stitch detail to create stunning necklines and defined waists. J. JS Lee also referenced her past, paying homage by using Mongolian fur as an embellishment. The collection featured masculine undertones of relaxed tailoring in the form of oversized coats, blazers and androgynous loose-fit trousers. This was balanced out with playful hues of yellow and bold fuschia pink to create a youthful and feminine collection.
